Interreg IVB-projekt "Creative City Challenge (projektet løber fra d. 01.09.2009 til d. 31.08.2012) fokuserer på at fremme erhvervslivet i den kreative sektor, som blandt andet omfatter følgende områder:

- Kunst / Kunsthandel
- Teater
- Dans
- Film
- Radio
- Design (produkt, mode - grafik, kommunikation design)
- Arkitektur
- Public Relations / Presse
- Software og spil
Projektet "Creative City Challenge," analyserer udfordringer og forhindringer, som den kreative industri står over for i Nordsø-regionen.
Analysen har til formål at udvikle en række forskellige, effektive og strategisk baserede, instrumenter og metoder, som kan fremme en bæredygtig udvikling af den kreative industri i Nordsø-regionen. Formålet med denne strategi er fortsat at skabe konkurrencedygtige, innovationsdrevne økonomier i byer og landdistrikter i Nordsø-regionen - et mål, der i 2000 er vedtaget af EU under Lissabon-processen. "Creative City Challenge” er et transnationalt projekt. Projektets partnere kommer fra 10 byer og seks forskellige lande. De kommer fra den offentlige administration, videnskab og erhvervsliv. Samarbejdet bygger på intensiv udveksling mellem partnerne og deres hjembyer samt interessenter fra alle dele af den kreative sektor. |

“Implementing the Digital Agenda in the North Sea Region – good practises, challenges and opportunities”
The aim of the DANS Cluster Kick-off conference is to bring the Digital Agenda for Europe to a more regional level and to show how activities and projects implemented in the frame of the Interreg North Sea Region Programme can contribute to it. Major results as well as some good practices from the Interreg IVB NSR projects “Creative City Challenge”, “Smart Cities” and “E-CLIC” will be presented and will showcase the “northern” way of implementing the Digital Agenda.

Last year an international panel of experts granted the BEST COLLABORATION AWARD for the first time. The first BCA 20110 was designed to reward the best example of collaboration between partners from the creative industries sector and another from a more traditional industry focussing on innovative practices beyond traditional business relationships as well as alliances with exceptional results.
