12 - 27 June 2010, Newcastle upon Tyne, England The North East Festival of Architecture (NEFA) is an annual 15 day festival celebrating architecture and urban design in the region. Taking place between the 12 - 27 June this summer, there will be a host of events including building tours, urban tours, talks, debates and exhibitions, giving everyone the chance to explore and think about the places we live and how we live in them.

The Festival’s theme this year is Designing Out CO2, with a host of events demonstrating how good architecture, urban design and a clever use of our built environment can help us reduce our carbon footprints. You’ll be able to see how we can designing out our dependency on carbon fuel energy AND have a well designed and comfortable world. NEFA also has a collection of events called We Love Architecture, created and hosted by designers, practitioners, organisations and individuals that gives the public a chance to share in other people’s passion for good architecture and urban design.
