17 - 21 July 2012, Amsterdam, The Netherlands The course covers a rich selection of topics: Creative economy: major shifts and their consequences; Value of culture; creative financing of the arts; The role of the creativity, art and culture in the new economy; Innovation and the role of the entrepreneurship in the creative industries; The role of the government in stimulating creativity; Creative clusters and network; Copyrights. Participants will learn from scholars who are working on the frontiers of the research into creative economy and cultural industries, such as professor, dr. Michael Hutter (Social Science Research Center, Berlin), professor, dr. Arjo Klamer (Erasmus University, Rotterdam), dr. Christian Handke (Erasmus University, Rotterdam), Lyudmila Petrova, MA (Erasmus University, Rotterdam). They will enter into discussions with artist, experts and cultural entrepreneurs who have experience of various creative industries, such as music, design, new media and film.
