WP 1: Project management
(WP leader: HAW Hamburg, Germany) As project coordinator, HAW Hamburg is responsible for the overall project management, including the support of the partners during the reporting phases, the compilation of relevant reports and regular updates of partners on project and budget development. HAW Hamburg is monitoring and controlling the progress of the project activities of each partner to ensure that a fruitful cooperation between all partners. WP 2: Publicity and communication (WP leader: HAW Hamburg, Germany) Within work package 2, HAW Hamburg establishes and increases knowledge transfer between the participating regions and organisations. The aim is not only to promote the project, but also to disseminate good practice in the development of creativity and innovation systems in the participating and other NSR and EU countries. By doing so, a wider acceptance of interregional cooperation (especially in SMEs) and the improvement of regional and local strategies in the development of creativity and innovation are achieved. WP 3: Entrepreneurship and skills development (WP leader: Dundee College, Scotland, UK) This work package focuses on the generation of information and knowledge, which serves as a basis for developing effective strategies to support the creative industry in the North Sea region, thus contributing to closer territorial integration. Knowledge generation includes the delivery of transnational workshops and seminars, the creation of self-learning material as well as pilot projects that serve as good practice examples and inspiration for other organisations.WP 4: Networks, dialogue and business cooperation (WP leader: Bremen Economic Development, Germany) Work package 4 aims to develop and implement new instruments to support linkages within creative industries and with traditional industries, knowledge institutions and public organisations in order to increase knowledge transfer and innovation capacity in the NSR. The cooperation is based on common projects, transnational activities as well as on the exchange of experience. WP 5: Creative cluster (WP leader: Gemeente Groningen, Netherlands) Creative clusters are spaces where creative people live and work and where cultural products are consumed and made. Such places are characterised by diversity and change and so thrive in busy, multicultural urban settings that have their own local distinctiveness. Creative clusters are not the same as other clusters, and common strategies would fail. That is why work package 5 is dedicated to analysing the individual factors and spatial dimensions of innovation hubs/clusters/creative hotspots and zones. This way, a better understanding of creative clusters is generated to develop and implement living/working environments for creative industries. WP 6: Research-based strategy development (WP leader: Delft University of Technology, Netherlands) Work package 6 incorporates the outcomes of all work packages and strengthens the sustainability aspect of the project by generating several reports, a SWOT analysis, best practice instruments and recommendations. |
