Creative Industries - Quo Vadis? Currently the welfare of the creative industries throughout Europe is looked after by a significant number of functionaries and division managers representing diverse national and regional political and administrative bodies. The EU-Commission has issued a 'Green Paper' containing recommendations aimed at benefiting the Creative Industries; in Germany the Minister for Culture and Media launched dedicated 'centers for competence' and a plethora of conferences and hearings concern themselves with the subject. What measures and developments, if any, will prove to be effective in helping to stabilize and develop markets and meet the current and future needs of the industry? And are there ones that just ends in themselves?
